Friendly Driving And Traffic School

You’re generally a law-abiding citizen, but sometimes you like to make up your own traffic rules, and that didn’t go over too well with the officer who had nothing better to do than pull you over and cheerfully hand you a traffic ticket. And that means that you either win a point against your driver’s license and pay out the eyeballs for auto insurance, or you pay to attend traffic school. Once upon a time, the former meant spending a Saturday cooped up in a depressing classroom with a bunch of other scofflaws, but times have changed, and now you can take traffic school online and save that Saturday for stuff you find more stimulating than 8 hours of listening to an instructor drone on about speed limits and turning lanes. Friendly Driving & Traffic School is one of many online traffic schools that operate in the State of California.

Top-Rated Online Traffic Schools

Is Friendly Driving & Traffic School Legit?

Friendly Driving & Traffic School was licensed by the DMV in 2012 to provide online traffic school in all counties in California. Friendly Driving & Traffic School is a full-service, on-site driving school that offers a number of courses. The internet traffic violator course is just icing on the cake, and it’s totally legit.

Features of Friendly Driving & Traffic School

The traffic violator course will set you back $24.99, which is a little more than most traffic schools that charge $19.95 or less. However, this course has some features that beat those of most other traffic schools. The course is offered in both English and Spanish, and the Spanish course costs the same as the English course, as it should be. Friendly Driving & Traffic School also offers same-day certificate processing, which is nice – especially if you waited until the last minute to complete the course. Other traffic schools charge $15 for 2-day processing or $25 for same-day processing. Friendly Driving & Traffic School promises the “Lowest Prices & 100% Satisfaction,” but they don’t offer any information about what they’ll do if you find a lower price or lack satisfaction with the course. This is a comedy course, which means that there will be plenty of jokes and cartoons throughout the course to keep you entertained as you plod away at each chapter. Whether the jokes are “hilarious,” as Friendly Driving & Traffic School claims they are, remains to be seen. There’s no mention of customer support on the website, but the school has a physical location and a phone number, so we’ll assume you can contact them for support during normal business hours Monday through Friday and possibly on Saturday as well, although we can’t be sure about that. There’s also no mention of whether or not the course is timed, which would mean that you have to stay on each chapter for a certain amount of time before moving on. For fast readers or those who wish to just skim the material and take their chances on the open-book test, timers on the course may be a deal breaker.

How it Works

After you register for the course, you can start taking it right away. Each chapter ends with a short quiz, which you can take as many times as it takes you to pass. Once you’re finished with all of the chapters, you’ll take the final exam, which consists of 25 multiple choice questions. You get two attempts to pass the test with a 70 percent or better, but you should only need one attempt, since the test is open-book and you can look back through the course to find the answers. As soon as you pass the test, your certificate of completion will be immediately transmitted electronically to the DMV and the court that’s presiding over your ticket. And that’s it! You’re done!

What We Like About Friendly Driving & Traffic School

We like the fact that you don’t have to wait up to 3 days to have your completion certificate sent to the DMV and court. We also like that it’s a comedy course and that it’s available in Spanish for the same price as the English course.

What We Don’t Like About Friendly Driving & Traffic School

It would be nice if Friendly Driving & Traffic School posted their customer support hours, and some details about their satisfaction and low price guarantees would be welcome. It would also be good to know whether the course is timed.

Rating for Friendly Driving & Traffic School

Friendly Driving & Traffic School earns a three-star rating, which is perfectly respectable. It would be higher if we knew the details of the guarantees, whether the course is timed, and the hours during which support by phone is available.
