San Diego County Online Traffic School Reviews

Taking traffic school in San Diego County is about as easy as it gets. While it’s pretty unfortunate you have to waste your time and money going through traffic school and learning about driving regulations, the good news is you’re much better off than most other people in the country. In most states, you still can’t take your traffic school online or you must use a course run by the state, which is always boring as hell.

By contrast, in the state of California, there are nearly 700 certified online traffic schools, and every one of them is approved for San Diego County. But with 700 online traffic schools certified for San Diego county, it can be a little tricky deciding which online traffic school is the best one.

Is It Really THAT Much Better Taking Traffic School Online In San Diego County?

It’s no contest – YES it’s easier to take your traffic school online! Some people choose to torture themselves by wasting 6 to 7 hours in a stuffy classroom with a bunch of strangers while they get lectured at. For the rest of us, an online traffic school can be completed in about an hour for the same price and you never even have to get dressed. Clothing optional!

You see, a few years ago, the state of California removed all “course timer requirements” and that includes San Diego County traffic school courses. Many years ago, the online courses were timed so even if you could finish the course in 20 minutes, the system would force you to spend a certain amount of time on each page or section. End result? It did take 6 or 7 hours to finish. Thankfully times have changed and now, there are no course timers at all. Most people can get it done very quickly.

Which Online Traffic School Is Best For San Diego County?

As far as choosing a certified course, you can go with any of them on the list of nearly 700 online traffic schools. However, not all certified courses are created equal. Some of them STILL use course timers for some stupid reason, many add hidden fees at the end of the course, and customer service at the majority of them is just horrific. A large number of these certified online traffic schools aren’t even run by people from California or even the United States! All they care about is getting your money.

So, which course should you go with? Here are my top 5 recommendations:

#1 – iDriveSafely
#2 – Improv Traffic School
#3 – DriversEd.com
#4 – Traffic School 101
#5 – Go To Traffic School

ANY of the above courses are good choices. Just pick one of them and you can be done with this crap in an hour.

Before you go and enroll in one of these online traffic schools, let me just give you a sneak peek of what these schools can offer.

iDriveSafely

Watching long lessons on a gadget can be a real drag, especially for people with short attention spans (like me). iDriveSafely is well-known for dividing its lessons into bite-sized clips, allowing students to understand and consume information better. If long videos bore you to death, iDriveSafely is a good choice for you. Some of their resources are also available for download so you can take your time answering practice exams offline.

Improv Traffic School

I bet everyone can agree that taking classes is pretty boring. However, Improv Traffic School takes online traffic school to another level by including comedy in its lessons. It sure does make the painful experience of going through a traffic school less painful with its humorous and entertaining course content.

DriversEd.com

Taking online traffic school requires a certain level of technical skills to be able to navigate through a website. DriversEd.com’s edge is having a website that is simple, straight to the point, and easy to navigate. Its lessons are also easy to understand and they do a good job of explaining driving procedures, which, of course, is essential for a traffic school. The lessons are also quite enjoyable.

Traffic School 101

Unlike other traffic schools that try to win you over with fun and interactive concepts, Traffic School 101 sure does not. Its no-nonsense approach is a text-based course, without all the flair of animation and comedy. Lessons are straight to the point and simple. Because of this, Traffic School 101 is able to keep its prices lower than other online traffic schools. This is a great option for those who want an affordable school with none of the fancy stuff.

Go To Traffic School

Go To Traffic School’s edge over other online traffic schools is how it presents its lessons. It does a very thorough study of the points and teaches them in an easy-to-understand and organized manner. It allows you to study at your own pace. It also offers a money-back guarantee which means you can get a refund as long as you have not completed your final exam.

What Makes An Online Traffic School High Quality?

If for some reason you don’t like any of the above schools, you can go find another one you like by following some simple guidelines. For starters, check the Better Business Bureau rating for any online traffic school you are considering. I know the BBB isn’t perfect, but it will give you a pretty good idea of how many complaints are filed against them. Also, try to find courses that boast a 10+ year minimum operating history with MILLIONS of students (I like to call them guinea pigs). If a company has been around for 10 years with millions of students and still has a good BBB rating, that’s a pretty darn good indication they are decent.

Also, make sure whoever you go with offers a money-back guarantee up until the final exam. Any legit online traffic school will offer this and stand by their product vs. some shady traffic school that just wants to suck you in and take as much money as possible.

While most people don’t think they will need to use it, a good 24/7/365 support team is very important. You will be entering a lot of information from your traffic ticket and if just one thing doesn’t match up, you’ll need to contact them. A non-existent or 9 to 5 customer service team isn’t going to cut it. Any legit school will offer customer support via live chat, email, and phone as well as having their team 100% U.S. based.

You’re also going to want to make sure the course does not use timers as some of them still do.

Finally, for those who want to take the course using a smartphone or tablet, make sure the course is compatible. A lot of these online traffic schools have fallen behind the times and they haven’t updated their courses to meet the requirements of newer devices.

Of course, all of the online traffic schools I recommended above meet all these requirements and then some, so I highly recommend you just go with one of the schools above.

Who The Heck Am I To Give These Recommendations?

You’re probably thinking I’m just some dude sitting in his underwear making this website from a laptop.

….Ok, so you’re onto me.

However, aside from sitting in my underwear writing this page from my home, it’s also important for you to know that I’m a California resident who also happens to be a licensed CDL-A driving instructor. In fact, I created an online driving course specifically for truckers and it is now the most popular free CDL training program on the web.

So you know, I’m kind of a big deal in the online driver training space.

As thrilling as this all sounds, I can assure you I know a lot about this industry and sadly, it’s full of scammers and shady owners. If you’d like to live on the wild side and disregard my recommendations, it’s no sweat off my back and it’s your wallet! However, you might want to at least consider the courses I posted above.

Good luck and don’t worry, it’ll all be over in about an hour if you start now. Cheers!
